As part of ClinFlows’ Winter Camp and annual strategy meeting, our team had the opportunity to visit the Abbott Structural Heart Training Centre in Frankfurt-Eschborn.
During the visit, Ulf Schumacher, International Senior Therapy Specialist at Abbott, provided valuable insights into the design, preparation, and implantation workflows of the NAVITOR and TENDYNE valves.
The session highlighted the complexity and precision required in valve sizing, pre-procedural planning, and intra-procedural support, as well as the importance of secure and compliant access to imaging data.
Since 2012, ClinFlows’ decidemedical imaging platform has supported these processes by enabling the regulated exchange of CT and echocardiography data across international sites.
The visit to Abbott offered our team a deeper understanding of the clinical and technical expertise involved in structural heart interventions and the critical role of imaging in supporting clinical decision-making.
